The
game we setup above was on a Tucson Arizona Aerial Photo map with
detailed mapping info of the city overlaid on it. We are from this
area, so it was even more fun to be familiar with all the actual infrastructure
and businesses in this area. This game was based on the FBI and local
law enforcement teaming up to intercept terrorist entering the city
intent on a massive coordinated attack. There were several terrorist
cells involved and an understaffed law enforcement contingency tasked
with the job of getting the city emergency responders up to speed
while trying to capture and stop the eminent attack on the city. We
used different colored flat marbles for markers, several 8D and a
20D dice, for this particular game. This was just a quick setup done
with one set of our boards in about 10 minutes to start game play.
Map cost 25 cents from a second hand store.
The
HEX A.R.T. system is made up of clear plastic hex shaped boards with
raised lines defining the hex spaces on each board. Since the boards
can be put together endlessly, it is expandable without limits. The
clear boards can be positioned over any art, map, drawing, blueprint,
or poster to instantly create endless playing surfaces.
Create
your own war games, RPG games, strategy games, and more! Build endless
game boards, worlds, and environments as you need them! Build simple
or highly complex games with any landscape you can imagine using this
incredible ever expanding system! You can create ground or surface
wars and place other levels above them on glass or plastic levels
to create an air or space 3D experience like no other. See through
landscapes can be printed on clear sheets so you can look down to
the next levels if you want!
Our
system will keep your game pieces from moving around by accident,
and when you're done with a particular game, you can create a whole
new one by simply changing or rearranging the artwork under the HEX
A.R.T. boards!
Besides
using artwork or imaginary landscapes, you can use real maps to create
games! Using a HEX A.R.T. template to trace and cut up any real map,
or you can leave it entirely intact without cutting it up at all,
you can quickly turn any map into an instant game board. Any country,
state, city, or topographical map is suddenly at your mercy! Even
lunar, space, star maps, or ocean maps can be used. Posters of the
human body or other printed media can easily be turned into an instant
game board!
With
HEX A.R.T. boards, you can expand instantly and make changes on the
fly. What other gaming system lets you FLOAT OFF whole sections of
an environment to be used in other parts of a game, or be eliminated
entirely? How about adding new sections? With our system it's as easy
as attaching another section or several sections to the original game.
Build
large tables with scenery and props and use the HEX A.R.T. boards
to create the playing pathways and gaming areas on the board. Realistic
war games can be set up quickly and stored away without nearly as
many problems with playing pieces moving around on you during the
moving of your boards.
Odd
shaped tables are no problem either, or use several tables or places
to build onto your game. Jump to another table to fight a raging battle
in the game, and return to your kingdom on your mighty winged beast
so you can take the next space flight into a different galaxy to win
the freedom of your alien princess!
Our
goal is to let game players and graphics people share and enjoy building
endless HEX A.R.T. scenes and environments with others that visit
this site. In this way, the HEX A.R.T. Game System can expand into
countless realms of the imagination.
When
connecting our HEX A.R.T. sections, you only need to use small short
pieces of transparent tape. No need to purchase or fiddle with hundreds
of small connectors. You can also use inexpensive transparent tape
to keep artwork in place under sections if they have been printed
and cut to fit individual boards. This allows for great flexibility
in building some interesting playing boards.
Think
in 3D! You're free to build in all kinds of strange ways! It's easy
to cut and fold towers out of poster board and place the HEX A.R.T.
sections on top. The towers can be covered with printed paper too,
making them very cool in game play! Hey! Maybe some nice graphics
for towers would be cool to share too!
